My name is Jose (J.C.) Nunez and I am a 1982 EHS graduate that would like to please request that I be added to the College Athletes list. I was a 1983 Community College All American at Chabot College and then transferred to San Francisco State where I was a varsity wrestler from 1984-86 and was voted the 1985 "Most Inspirational Wrestler" and the 1986 "Team Captain". These are to feats that I am truly proud of and I would appreciate being acknowledged for my accomplishments at the NCAA Division II level. I have a copy of the 1984-85 SFSU Wrestling Program with my individual and team picture as well as a copy of a 1985 issue of the National Amateur Wrestling News with a picture of me losing to a wrestler from Fresno State University as proof. Thank you for considering my request.

It was nice to be included with such a great group of Professionals.

I was the only and youngest Professional Bowler from Alameda and was very proud of it. In 1976 I shot the highest ever 3 game series(812) at good old Mels Bowl at age 16.Turned Pro 2 years later..Sure miss those days. Thanks for including me..

I'm looking forward to your exhibit at the Alameda Museum' it looks very interesting and quite a tribute to the athletes that called Alameda home. Thanks in advance for your efforts in pulling this together.

Kudos to Dewey and Brian on the launch of the Alameda Sports Project. You're off to a great start.

When you look at the all professional athletes who came out of Alameda and how they were touched by the Alameda Recreation & Park Department, you can see just how visionary the founding fathers were. A park in every neighborhood and progressive youth programs run by recreation professionals like Grant Maintland, Lil Arnerich and Bea Rowney. Kids grew to love the games they played and that fostered the drive to take them to the highest levels.

Keep up the great work.
